We believe that life in Christ is a journey of transformation — a journey where God makes us new, shapes our hearts, and strengthens our walk with Him. Our desire is to help every person take the next step in their faith, rooted in Scripture and guided by the Holy Spirit.

At New Life Community Church, we joyfully affirm the foundational truths of the Christian faith as expressed in the Baptist Faith and Message. These beliefs shape our worship, guide our teaching, and fuel our mission to share the hope of Jesus Christ.

What We Believe

The Bible - We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, without error, and fully trustworthy. It reveals God’s truth, offers salvation through Jesus Christ, and is our final authority for faith and life. “All Scripture is breathed out by God…” — 2 Timothy 3:16–17

God - We believe in one God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—eternally existing in perfect unity. He is the Creator, Sustainer, and Redeemer of all things. “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.” — Deuteronomy 6:4

Jesus Christ - We believe Jesus is the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the grave, and will return again in glory. “I am the resurrection and the life…” — John 11:25

The Holy Spirit - We believe the Holy Spirit convicts of sin, regenerates hearts, empowers believers, and equips the church for ministry. He dwells within every Christian and guides us into truth. “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit… will teach you all things.” — John 14:26

Salvation - We believe salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone. It is a gift from God—not earned by works—and available to all who repent and believe. “For by grace you have been saved through faith…” — Ephesians 2:8–9

The Church - We believe the church is the body of Christ, made up of all believers. We gather to worship, grow in the Word, serve one another, and proclaim the Gospel to the world. “Now you are the body of Christ…” — 1 Corinthians 12:27

Our Mission - We believe in the Great Commission—to go and make disciples of all nations. We are called to share the Good News with boldness, compassion, and urgency. “Go therefore and make disciples…” — Matthew 28:19–20

Baptism - We believe baptism is a beautiful act of obedience that follows salvation. It is a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ and symbolizes the believer’s death to sin and new life in Him. We practice baptism by immersion, as modeled in Scripture, and view it as a testimony—not a requirement—for salvation. “We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death…” — Romans 6:4
