At New Life Community Church, our ministries exist to help people grow in Christ, build meaningful relationships, and serve our community with the love of Jesus. Each ministry provides a place to belong, learn, and live out the Gospel together.

Ministry

Leadership

Leadership within the church is a divinely instituted role, essential for the spiritual health, growth, and governance of the Christian community. The New Testament provides a framework for understanding the responsibilities, qualifications, and functions of church leaders, emphasizing their role as shepherds, teachers, and overseers.

The concept of leadership in the church is rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ and the apostolic instructions found in the New Testament. Jesus Himself set the ultimate example of servant leadership, as seen in Mark 10:45,

"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many."

This model of leadership is characterized by humility, service, and sacrifice.

Junior Church & Nursery

The doctrine of original sin, based on passages like Romans 5:12, suggests that all humans inherit a sinful nature. However, the Bible also emphasizes God's redemptive plan through Jesus Christ. Romans 5:18 states,

"So then, just as one trespass brought condemnation for all men, so also one act of righteousness brought justification and life for all men."

This implies that Christ's atoning work is available to all, including children.

The church plays a vital role in supporting families and providing spiritual education for children. Sunday schools, youth groups, and children's ministries are avenues through which the church can impart biblical knowledge and foster spiritual growth.

NU Student Outreach

Our College Student Ministry exists to support and encourage students during their time at Norwich University.

Each week we host free community lunches where cadets can slow down, share a meal, and build real relationships.

It’s a simple space to breathe, connect, and be reminded of God’s grace in the middle of a demanding schedule.

Whether you’re exploring faith or looking for a place to belong, you’ll find a welcoming table and people who care.

Hospitality

Our Hospitality Ministry creates the first welcome people experience at New Life. From greeting at the door to helping guests find their way, this team sets the tone with warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care. We want every person who walks in—whether it’s their first Sunday or their hundredth—to feel seen, valued, and at home. If you love creating a friendly, inviting atmosphere, this is a meaningful place to serve.

Hospitality is not merely a social duty but a spiritual practice that demonstrates faith and obedience to God's commands. It refers to the generous and friendly reception and treatment of guests, strangers, and travelers. It is a virtue highly esteemed in both the Old and New Testaments, reflecting God's love and care for all people.

Hospitality is a means of living out the command to love one's neighbor and can be a powerful witness to the love of Christ in a world often marked by division and isolation.

worship

Music in the Bible is a powerful form of expression and worship, deeply embedded in the cultural and religious practices of the Israelites and early Christians. It serves as a means of praising God, expressing lament, celebrating victories, and enhancing communal worship. Music is often associated with joy, spiritual edification, and divine inspiration.

While music is a universal language, its biblical use underscores its spiritual significance. It is a tool for worship, a source of comfort, and a means of proclaiming God's truth. Through music, believers are invited to participate in the heavenly chorus, joining in the eternal praise of God.

Audio / Tech

Audio/Tech Ministry helps create a distraction‑free environment where people can worship, learn, and encounter God’s presence.

This team manages sound, slides, [previous livestream], and service production with excellence and humility.

Whether you’re experienced or just willing to learn, there’s a place for you to serve behind the scenes and help our church communicate the Gospel clearly every week.

Missions & Prayer

Missions is not merely an activity of the church but is central to its identity and purpose. It reflects the missional nature of God, who desires,

"all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth" (1 Timothy 2:4).

The task of missions is both a privilege and a responsibility, calling believers to participate in God's work of reconciling the world to Himself through Christ (2 Corinthians 5:18-20).

Prayer remains a vital practice for believers, fostering a deeper relationship with God and aligning their hearts with His purposes. Through prayer, Christians find strength, guidance, and peace, trusting in the faithfulness of God to hear and answer according to His perfect will.

Discipleship

The mandate for discipleship is encapsulated in the Great Commission, where Jesus instructs His followers to make disciples of all nations. Matthew 28:19-20 records,

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey all that I have commanded you."

Discipleship is a lifelong journey of following Jesus, marked by commitment, obedience, transformation, and love. It is both a personal and communal endeavor, empowered by the Holy Spirit and grounded in the teachings of Christ.
